The Al Musanna College of Technology has a number policies, publications, and manuals that reflect the diverse interests and expertise of staff and students as well as guide the operation and governance of the College.

  1. College by Laws
    The College Bylaws governs the organization, composition, and functions of the Technological Colleges under the Ministry of Manpower.

  2. College Policies
    The College is engage in developing policies to comply with the Ministry mandates. The policy management system is our guide in achieving our mission, vision and strategic goals and objectives as well as in promoting operational efficiency and reducing risks.

  3. Quality Audit Portfolio
    Quality Audit Portfolio is a result of the review process and assessment on the effectiveness of the nine domains practiced in the College.

  4. Labor Law
    Labor Law is issued by Royal Decree Number 34/73 after perusal of the State Basic Law promulgated by the Royal Decree Number 101/96. The Ministry of Manpower is mandated to issue regulations and decisions on employment of citizens, regulation of foreign workers, work contract, working hours, and labor disputes.

  5. Academic Calendar
    The Academic Calendar outlines the educational activities and undertakings of the College. The academic year is consist of two successive semesters (one in the fall and the other in the winter, each with a duration of 16 weeks and separated by a two-week mid-year vacation), and a summer semester. There are two academic calendars that are followed in the college: general foundation level and post-foundation level.

    The Minister endorses the academic calendar including examinations and holiday dates in each semester. Working days are usually from Saturday to Wednesday. Classes/lectures usually start at 8.00 A.M. to 8.00 P.M. (College Bylaws, Article 58). Teachers are asked to be flexible regarding dates for holidays as these are often difficult to be fixed in advance.

  6. Staff Handbook
    This handbook is intended for newly hired and current staff to understand the nature of their job and code of conduct. The rights and responsibilities are also enumerated to ensure well-being and productivity in the workplace.

  7. Student Handbook
    Students handbook elaborates significant information and guidelines for students. Certain information pertaining to your studies and campus life are clearly explained to facilitate you in your academic endeavors.

    All programs will issue handbooks to students at the beginning of their first semester of study. These will normally contain:
    • A College calendar of events
    • A guide to learning resources in the College
    • Dress code and other guidance to students on behavior in the College
    • A list of members of staff and how to contact them
    • A clear statement of program goals and objectives
    • Information on the structure of the program
    • Clear information on compulsory and elective courses
    • Guidance on the types of assessment used in the program
    • A definition of plagiarism, guidance on how to avoid plagiarism, and details of penalties for those committing plagiarism
    • Information on employment prospects after completing the program

  8. Degree Audit 
    Degree Audit is in use in the College for each specialization offered in the areas of Business, Engineering, and Information Technology. It specifies the minimum number of courses required for each award level, the nature of courses, credit hours, contact hours, prerequisites and co-requisites.
