ACT Engineering Department Organizes Seminar on ‘Hybrid Technology’

The Engineering Department, in collaboration with Team Toyota, Barka, organized a seminar on ‘Hybrid Technology’on 27 March 2018 at the college auditorium.

The main objective of the seminar was to emphasize the emerging technologies incorporated in the use of green energy.


Team Toyota member Mr. Yogesh Naik presented the seminar on Introduction to the Hybrid Technology. Using videos, he explained the use of technology incorporated with the automobile industry, the working principles, the history of hybrid technology, the sources of energy in hybrid technology, the need for hybrid technology development and the types of hybrid drive train technology.


After the seminar presentation, the Engineering department and Team Toyota jointly felicitated the most active IEEE student members of the ACT Students’ Branch. At the end of the event, a most exciting  Raffle Draw was conducted by Team Toyota. The Honorable Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Ali Ahmed Al Shahri, Chief Guest of the event, presented prizes to 9 winners of the draw.

Finally, Mr. Abdul Hamim Al Hinai, Head of the Department of Engineering, delivered the Vote of Thanks.

It was truly a day to remember.
