ACT welcomed 607 students in the second batch of students for the Academic Year 2016 -2017.   The English Language Center (ELC) in cooperation with the Student Affairs organized an Orientation week for the new students from January 1 to 5, 2017

After the name list was announced by the Ministry of Manpower, ACT prepared the admission list of the students(607) for the second batch.

Students were, firstly, given a diagnostic test on their subject skills based on which they were placed in different departments. The fourth and fifth days of the orientation week were at the college auditorium; the students were warmly welcomed by Dr. Issa Saif Mohammed Al Tubi, the Dean of the college and Dr.Ahmed Ali Ahmed Alshahri, the Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs. They wished the students a fruitful and rewarding academic year. Ms. Monia Mohammed Al Farsi, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs said she was pleased to see that so many students had chosen to study in ACT and wished them a full year of hard work and commitment to their studies.

Dr. Nihad Al Zadjali, Head of the English Language Center, detailed the four levels of student placement and the phases that they would undergo before they chose their specialization.

Mr. Majid Issa Al Rashdi, Head of Admission and Registration Department, Badriya Al-Salmi, Head of Counseling and Graduates Follow-up Department and Mr. Omar Mohammed Said Alshabibi presented the rules and regulations of the college and the important student services that were offered, including registration and admission, student counseling, student activities, on-the-job training and graduation.

Finally, Ms. Zainab Al Ma'awali, Head of Educational Technology Center, introduced the online services of the college through a video presentation.

All the dignitaries expressed their happiness and wished students a fruitful year of learning.
