Likewise, the aim of the Ministry of Manpower is to change from "traditional training" to "action-oriented training". The Ministry is offering a need-based, job-oriented, & professional training like on- the job Training / Enhancement Practical Training. All the staff related to the training process in the College of Technology have initiated the activities of On the Job Training. The student may undergo training to various industrial sectors in Oman. The department coordinators also activate the following routine standard processes, three or four weeks before the start of actual training.

1. Identification of eligible trainees and places of training.
   
   
2. Visiting / Communication with the private and public sector establishments for identification / acceptance of training sites / trainees respectively.
   
   
3. Nomination of College Assessors
   
   
4. Training / briefing sessions for College Assessors and eligible trainees.
   
   

The process of Enhancement Practical Training (EPT) can be initiated for the next session after completion of OJT. ACT provides OJT and EPT to students at the exit level to prepare them for the job market. With the trainings, students can have actual work experience and enhance the skills required during the period of their study.

There are also short term courses offered in the college to supplement your learning and get relevant training in a comprehensive but fast-paced manner.
