Admission and Registration
Admission
Every academic year, the Ministry of Manpower decides the number of students to be admitted to the College. They also specify the criteria for different specializations. The Technical Committee allocates the intake to the college based on the number of students and their home regions. Students are entered in the central registration system and ACT receives a list of students who have been assigned to the college and to be admitted to the General Foundation Program.
When you come to ACT, a test is administered to determine your placement in the General Foundation Program. Presented below, is the placement criteria:

You will spend a minimum of one semester in each level. Upon completion of the Advanced Level, you will sit for an exit exam and an in-house TOEFL. Once you successfully meet the exit criteria, you can move into the Academic Department.

Progression
Progression in the Academic Department, from one level to another, is based on the criteria specified in the College Bylaws. (link to appendix 2). When you are not eligible for promotion to sub-sequent level you are placed in Enhancement Practical Training (EPT) at the Certificate Level. At the Diploma and Higher Diploma level, you should complete the On-the-Job Training (OJT) Program before taking the EPT.
Registration
Registration of student in the Academic Department for Certificate Level is taken care of by the department registrar, assisted by the academic advisors under the overall supervision of the College Registrar. The registration process is completed as per the academic schedule approved by the Ministry of Manpower for all Colleges of Technology. The registrar prepares course timetables and coordinates with department registrars. A student database containing students enrolled, withdrawals, dismissals, postponements, graduates and transfer to other colleges is maintained with utmost security and confidentiality.

Student Identification Card
Students enrolled in ACT are provided with a Student Identification Card. The card is needed for any school transactions particularly during registration process.
