Project on Job Skills and Employer Expectations wins FURAP Award - Business Studies Department

 

The research project 'A Study on Employer’s Expectations and Skill Gaps among Graduates of Colleges of Technology' won the Best FURAP Research Project in the Education and Human Resources Sector.  The award was given away by the Research Council at an award ceremony of the Fourth Annual Research Forum 2017, held to felicitate the winners of the National Research Award and FURAP. 

The function was presided over by H. E. Dr Rawiyah bint Saud al Busaidiyah, Minister of Higher Education. Many eminent personalities from industry and academia also graced the prestigious award ceremony. 

The research was mentored by Ms. Shagufta M. Farooq from the Business Studies Department and conducted by business students Abeer Abdulkarim Amitan Al Balushi, Afrah Rashid Said Al-Ghadani and Amal Khalid Hamood Al-Salehi
