Royal Oman Air Force – Student Projects from Al Musanna College of Technology appreciated

The RAFO (Royal Air Force of Oman) invited student projects from Al Musanna College of Technology to display in an Exhibition held on January 28, 2018 at the Musanna Air base.

Air Vice-Marshal Mattar bin Ali bin Mattar Al Obaidani, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO), visited the exhibition and praised the students and staff for producing such innovative projects.

The following projects were displayed by the Engineering and Information Technology Departments at the exhibition:

  • Smart Secret Door Knocking System
  • Smart Socket
  • Android Application for Coffee Vending Machine
  • Autonomous Humanoid Robot for Surveillance
  • Smart Intruder Alert System
  • Design and Fabrication of Hovercraft.
  • Experimental Investigation of Date Palm Leaf Fiber- Reinforced Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate Composites for Structural Application in Oil and Gas Industry


The students and supervisor staff on these projects were honored with certificates and awards from the Royal Air Force of Oman at Al Musanna Air Base. The certificates were delivered at the Dean’s office.

The College Dean, Dr. Issa Saif Mohammed Al Tubi and the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Ali Al Shahri encouraged the greater participation of students in such events outside campus to help enrich their learning.
