As part of ELC's preparation for AY 2021-2022, the ELC QA Committee headed by the QA Coordinator, Dr. Annie B. Domede, conducted an online presentation of the ELC's previous achievements and plan for the current AY on 16 September 2021 from 11AM to 12:15PM.

During the presentation, Dr. Annie discussed ELC's Operational Plan Achievement Report (OPAR) for AY 2020-2021. She highlighted the various targets that were successfully achieved by the Center as well as those that were partially and not achieved at all. She also mentioned some challenges that ELC faced such as the shifting from traditional to virtual teaching and the restrictions on physical gathering which contributed to the non-achievement of some of the targets.

Dr. Annie also presented the current planning process of the University and underscored the goals and objectives of ELC's Operational Plan (OP) for AY 2021-2022. She informed the attendees that it is important for them to be aware of the Center's OP specifically its goals and objectives as staff will soon be required to prepare their individual plan.

She pointed out that while there are no further details provided, the QA Department of UTAS-A has announced that a new staff appraisal system will be implemented that would require individual plans for each academic year. She ended her presentation by sharing with the attendees their professional duties and responsibilities as per the CoTs' Bylaws and a list of practical commitments and activities that each staff is expected to fulfill and deliver.

The second part of the presentation was given by Ms. Autumn Dinkelman, an ELC QA Committee member. Ms. Autumn discussed the different ELC committees including the responsibilities of the members, committee composition, and the number of needed committee members. She explained that each staff is required to be a member of at least one of these committees. She also said that a link will be shared with the staff to allow them to access a Google form where they can choose four (4) committees of which they prefer to become a member. Ms. Autumn also said that the staff may signify their intention to become a coordinator for any of the committees by indicating the same in the form. She then reminded everyone to complete the form not later than Sunday, 19 September 2021.

Before the end of the session, Dr. Annie announced that a workshop about action planning and achievement report writing will be scheduled the following week. She clarified that this upcoming workshop shall be attended by the committee coordinators and one member of each committee.
