As a part of the Staff Development Programme, the Department of IT organized a workshop titled ‘Awareness Session on GFP - IT’ on Thursday, 13 February 2020 at 2:15 PM.
Mr. Monawar Rahman, Coordinator for IT for Foundation, IT Department, presented the workshop.
Starting with a general overview of the GFP Common Structure and Procedure, purpose and objective, Mr. Monawar Rahman proceeded to discussing the overall delivery of the GFP programme in Colleges of Technology (CoTs’).
Mr. Monawar Rahman also explained the Mission, Vision, Values (MVV) and Goals by Implementing, Monitoring, Reviewing and Improving the GFP Program.
He also provided an insight into GFP Students’ Progression, GFP Management & QAD, the GFP Quality Audit Portfolio in general and for ACT in particular. The GFP Governance, the work and responsibilities of the Foundation Programme, the Specialization committees and the various councils, including the IT Council, were discussed with the audience.
Overall, it was a very informative and interesting workshop, in the context of the upcoming GFP Audit in March 2020.
At the end, a thorough Question and Answer session made the workshop very vibrant.
