Graduation Ceremony 2019 

During the special ceremony, a total of seven hundred and fifty four (754) graduates were awarded: 313 students with a Bachelor’s Degree, 111 with an Advanced Diploma and 330 with a Diploma.


The prestigious ACT Graduation Ceremony was held at the college campus on 25 November 2019 at 7.00 P.M.

After the formal inauguration with the rendition of the Holy Quran, the College Dean, Dr. Issa Saif Mohammed Al Tubi, addressed the gathering.

In his welcome message, the Dean congratulated the successful graduates and said that the college was proud of their hard work, contribution and achievements.

He highlighted the achievements of the college at various levels, locally and internationally, as following:

  • The college has become the first Technological College, backed by the Scientific Research Council, to establish the Technology Transfer Office.
  • In the field of techniques of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the college had won the First and Third places in the Robotics Challenge at the Gulf level competitions at the 10th International Conference in Kuwait. Moreover, the college had won the First place in the designing field and the Fourth place in Robotics Challenge, competition held at the Canadian University in Dubai.
  • Also, they had won the First and the Second places at the INVASION 2018 Competition in Robotics and the First place in Robotics Challenge at the level of the Sultanate, held at the Military Technological College, Oman.
  • In the field of Data and the Internet of Things, Asefny Application had won the Second place and Mezan Application had won the Third place in the Open Data Competition of the Ministry of Manpower.
  • In the field of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the college had won the Third place at the Nama competition. In addition, the student company Etamed had won the First place at the ‘Made in Sindan’ event. Moreover, the student company Nokhal had won an award for the Best Talk from Injaz Oman. The college students also won the Third place in the Smart Cities Hackathon in Dhofar Governorate. In recent achievements in this field, the college students have won the First place in Ecotone Green Innovations and won the first place in Talent Hackathon.
  • On the Sports side, our college students accompanied by the University Team of Technological Colleges won the Third place in the Asian University Championship in China, Taipei. In addition, the leader of the Rangers tribe had represented his teammates on the second voyage of the Omani Youth Ship (Swari Almajd and As’salam) and won the Third place. 
  • In the field of scientific research, the college has won the first place in many researches supported by the Scientific Research Council in the last year. The college has also received funding for 14 scientific researches. The total number of the funded projects has become 38 for both academics and students within 5 years.

The Dean ended his speech by expressing his sincere gratitude to the academic and non-academic staff members of ACT for their sincere efforts to improve the educational process. He also congratulated the parents for their contribution and sacrifices. He invoked Allah's blessings on all of Oman, wishing it prosperity and continuous progress under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said. 



The occasion was graced by His Excellency, Dr. Saud bin Hamoud bin Ahmed Al Habsi, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries for Fisheries. Dr. Saud bin Hamoud bin Amed Al Habsi expressed his happiness on the grand celebration. He awarded certificates to the successful graduates and lauded the college authorities and the students for their active participation.

The occasion was also graced by special guests and patrons of the Graduation Ceremony, Her Excellency:  Dr. Muna bint Salim Al Jardani, Undersecretary at the Manpower Ministry for Technical Education and Vocational Training and other honorable figures of excellence, including director generals of governmental and private institutions, academic and non-academic staff of ACT.

Lively, celebratory music ended the certificate distribution with the proud graduates smiling and waving their certificates in the air for the waiting cameras. The grand event ended with the hope that the new batch of graduates in the Sultanate would play a pivotal role in building the future of Oman.

All in all, it was a vibrant and colourful annual event that brought staff, students and parents together on a pleasant November evening.
