A group of Advanced Diploma and B. Tech. students of HRM specialization, Business Studies Department visited Sohar Port Freezone on January 30, 2019. The visit was aimed at gaining knowledge about the port and its operations.
Sohar Port Freezone is one of the world’s largest ports and free zone developments. It was created through a partnership between the Government of Oman and the Port of Rotterdam in Netherland. Every year, more than 2000 ships come to SOHAR to dock, load or discharge their cargo.
Assistant Communications Manager Mr. Ashraf Al Zadjali from the Sohar Port Freezone presented a general overview of the port and accompanied students on the tour. The information shared by him was informative and valuable.
BSD staff members Dr. Alamelu Mangai and Ms. Dasika Vardhini organized the trip and accompanied the students on the industrial visit.
