Participation in National Conference on Applied Science, Engineering and Technology (CASET-2K19) - Engineering Department

The Engineering Department, Ibri college of Technology organized First National Conference on Applied Science, Engineering and Technology (CASET-2K19) on 11th of June, 2019 at Ibri College of Technology, Oman with the aim of bringing together innovative academicians and industrial experts in the field of Science, Engineering and Technology to a common forum. The conference addressed the rapid strides and technological advancements currently witnessed in the fields of Science, Engineering and Technology and proved to be a platform for the academicians, Industrial Experts, researchers to share their knowledge and experience with students. 

 

 

Two students from Engineering Department, Sultan Saif Al-Shereiqi and Roa Yousuf AlKiyumi, two staffs Dr. Rani Fathima Kamal Basha and Mr. Kanagaraj Venusamy attended the event and presented their research article and posters.

Mr. Sultan Saif Al-Shereiqi presented a poster on “Dates Palm Health Assessment Using Unmanned Aided Vehicle in Sultanate of Oman” and Ms. Roa Yousuf AlKiyumi presented a poster on “Implementation study of Technology Transformation in Healthcare Sector in Oman”. The research article on “Simulation and Implementation of UPQC to improve the power quality for Linear and Non-linear loads” was presented by Dr. Rani Fathima Kamal Basha and Mr. Kanagaraj Venusamy.

After preliminary scrutinisation, 11 best posters were selected and the students were awarded with certificates to honor their participation and research study, among them Mr. Sultan Saif Al-Shereiqi ‘s poster on “Dates Palm Health Assessment Using Unmanned Aided Vehicle in Sultanate of Oman” enshrined among them, the chief guest appreciated the idea and interested to implement in farm lands. 27 research articles were selected for the final presentation.

The students experienced a good exposure and developed a rapport with students and faculties from other colleges and universities.
