Research plays a significant role in improving the professional career of academicians as it paves way for continuous learning and knowledge enhancement. It transforms educationalists into ‘lifelong learners’. Ethics in research has become a necessity nowadays. Research ethics is basically the set of ethical considerations a research team has to consider while conducting research. 

 

The Research Committee of the Department of Business Studies organized a webinar  via Zoom on ‘Ethics in Research’ on June 22, 2020 at 11.00 am to reinforce research ethics among faculty and students. Dr. Ahmed Khalifa Ali Al Shukaili, Assistant Professor and Dean of Research, University of Nizwa was the resource person for the webinar.   

 

The webinar began with a welcome address delivered by Dr. C. Radha Priya, Faculty, Department of Business Studies.. Aziza Abdallah Humaid Al Qamashoui, the Head of the Research Committee introduced the resource person for the webinar, Dr. Ahmed Khalifa Ali Al Shukaili, Assistant Professor and Dean of Research, University of Nizwa.

 

Dr Shukaili enlightened participants with his contemporary informative inputs. The Q&A session at the end also enabled the participants to clarify their doubts. The session concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Dr. C. Radha Priya.     

 

Around 67 teaching and non-teaching staff of the college from various departments including Business Studies, Information Technology, Engineering, English Language Center and Educational Technology Centers participated in the webinar and were enriched.

 

The webinar was coordinated by Dr. Aziza Abdallah Humaid Al Qamashoui, Head of the Research Committee and Dr. C. Radha Priya, Faculty, Department of Business Studies.
