QA Reviewing the Staff Appraisal System
QAD conducted two sessions this week; Sunday and Wednesday on 24th Jan and 27th Jan 2021. The Sunday session targeted the academic appraisal for both lecturers and technicians. Wednesday session on the other hand included representatives from each administrative department to discuss the admin staff appraisal system.
During Sunday session the current staff appraisal components were discussed. Staff agreed to follow the same system, yet many suggestions for improvement were proposed. like the inclusion of self-assessment and the personal developmental plan.
During Wednesday session, staff has also decided to follow the same form, however, many improvements were given on the criteria of evaluation
QAD decided to form a team including HR academic staff and a representative from the HR department to finalize all the forms and implement them this academic year during the month of June.
