As a part of the staff development program, the Human Resources and Development Committee (HRDC) of the Department of Business Studies in association with Ms. Kavitha Shanmugam, organized an online guest lecture on “Trans-Disciplinary Research” for faculty members of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences, Al-Musannah (UTAS-A) on 7^th June 2022 (Tuesday) with the support of our Dynamic HOD, Dr. Aziza Abdallah Humaid Al-Qamashoui, Business Studies, UTAS- A.

The Resource person Dr. Kabaly Subramaniam, Assistant Professor, Arab Open University, Sultanate of Oman, delivered the lecture to the faculty members of the UTAS-A. Around 55 staff members attended the lecture.

The Resource person is a well-known and a versatile personality. He has served our esteemed institution for seven years and held the position as HOS of Marketing, Department Registrar and Quality Head.

Currently he is a Business Researcher, Corporate Advisor, Start-up Investor, Corporate Trainer, Consultant, Learner, Community influencer, Trainer in new age of Digital Transformation. He is the first expatriate to receive best employee award from Ministry of Manpower. He has won many awards for his credentials.

The guest speaker enlightened the minds of the staff members of the UTAS- A with his vibrant and inspiring speech. His lecture was thought provoking and eye opening for the researchers on paradigm shift to new age of digital transformation and theory building by Asians. He mainly focused on collaborative research from various disciplines which results in enhancing entrepreneurial skills which serves as input to TTO. He also emphasized a few studies on VOCA methods of research which specify Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity.
