Webinar on Research Proposal Assessment Criteria for Block Funding Conducted
BSThe Research Committee of the Department of Business Studies, UTAS-A organized a webinar titled "Research Proposal Assessment Criteria for Block Funding Program" on 15th February 2022 for all the staff members of Business Studies, Engineering, and Information Technology departments. The webinar was organized for the discussion of the different criteria by which the block funding research proposals will be assessed and to create an awareness on the TRC block funding programs amongst the researchers.
Dr. Aziza Al Qamashoui, Head of the Business Studies Department, opened the webinar and welcomed the guest speaker, Mr. Idris Al Hasani from Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation. Mr. Al Hasani enlightened the participants on all the aspects of proposal submission process for the block funding programs of the TRC. He commenced the session by introducing The Oman Research Portal RIMS-TRC website and addressed all the facets of research proposal writing which included the budgets, submission process, assessment criteria, etc. He highlighted the need for the proposal to be aligned with the KPIs and he also proposed practical strategies to help research investigators to come up with successful proposal write-ups.
There were 75 staff members from IT, Engineering and Business departments who actively participated in the webinar.
