WELDING SKILL COMPETITION HELD
EnggThe Mechanical & Industrial (M&I) Section of the Department of Engineering conducted a welding skill competition on 29th March 2022 for first-year Diploma Engineering students. The competition aimed to promote the development of a skilled workforce equipped to meet the needs of the industry.
The competition provided an excellent opportunity for students and trainee welders to learn new skills and gain hands-on experience in the practical application of the welding processes. The 24 students who actively participated in the competition were divided into two batches and the first three best students from each batch were declared winners.
Mr.Abdullah Darwish Al Mishani, Mr.Syed Adbul Haleem and Mr.Stalin Kumaradoss served as judges in the competition. Dr.Naser Hamood Hamed AlHaddabi, Head of the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Section congratulated the students and awarded the certificates to the winners of the competition.
