C&A Section Holds Introduction to Construction Management (PRIMAVERA P6) Webinar
A webinar on Introduction to Construction Management (PRIMAVERA P6) was organized by the Staff Development Program-Human Resource and Development Committee of the Civil & Architecture (C&A) Section of the Engineering Department for its staff on 30th November 2021 at 12 pm. Mr. Ramasamy Vishnu, a lecturer of the C&A Section, was the speaker of the virtual event, which was attended by 13 teaching staff.
The speaker presented a clear-cut idea about new project creation, work breakdown structure input, activity creation and custom calendar creation and scheduling with Primavera P6.

Construction industry is a vast industry which involves various resources including machineries, proprietors, architects, engineers, technical and non-technical labors. There are also many activities involved in the projects such as finance allocation, design, execution and time duration. The successful planning, execution and completion of any project is possible only by proper management. However, this is highly impossible when done by manual planning and calculations. With the advent of computer software like Primavera P6, MS project multi directional planning, execution and successful completion is 100% possible. Primavera P6 is one of the leading software for project management as it allows creating work breakdown structures into various activities with different calendars, proper risk management coding, finance monitoring and scheduling.
