The Business Department organized an exhibition in the university auditorium on June 22, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in collaboration with Technology Transfer Office (TTO) and the Entrepreneurship Unit (EID), which was open to all staff, students, and technology enthusiasts. The exhibition's main focus was to display entrepreneurial course students' business ideas and their prototypes. Mr. Amr Abdullha Baabood (CEO-OITE), Mr. Sadiq Khan (COO-OITE), and Miss Jawaher Al Marhoobi (Project manager-GHEDEX), being the external experts, were asked to evaluate the students’ performance and their prototypes at the exhibition.

Our TTO head, Mr. Aatif Abdul Samed AlBalushi, accompanied the experts on their way to the exhibition. Also, Internal experts from the Entrepreneurship Unit, Dr. Aziza Abdullha Alqamashui (HOD-Business), Ms. Zainab Mohammed Al Ma’awali (HOD-ETC), and Mr. Majid Issa Al Rashdi (ADSA), visited the exhibition and evaluated the students’ prototypes.

Before the start of the exhibition, a formal meeting was hosted by the TTO & BSD (Business Studies Department) with the External experts and Internal Experts to strengthen the industrial-academia linkage. The meeting also aimed at devising a strategy in order to enhance technology transfer in the region and plan to attract investors for our upcoming projects inside and outside the university. At the event, our students displayed and presented their creative and innovative skills in the form of prototypes, which was really the center of attraction for all visitors and guests.

The students made still models, charts, posters, working models, and so on. They also gave a professional and detailed explanation of their prototypes to all the guests. They were even questioned about the scientific concepts and feasibility of their ideas. Many prototypes were demonstrated visually and tested too. Each group was placed at a different table with a QR code for evaluation purposes. The show concluded with a thank you note congratulating the students for their excellent performance.
