IT Department Conducts “Essential of Data Science – R Programming” Presentation

The Department of Information Technology (IT), through its Staff Development Program (SDP) Committee, conducted a presentation on “Essential of Data Science – R Programming” on Monday, 25th January 2021. The presentation was delivered by Dr. S. Dheva Rajan and was attended by staff from various departments. This talk aimed at giving an insight into R programming vis-a-vis data science.

Huge amount of data is produced every single day due to technological advancements and the growing popularity of the social media, e-commerce sites, etc. The availability of large data sets paved the way for Big Data. Programming like R provides an organized method of utilizing these data to get useful inferences, which will be helpful in developing the business world. R is an open tool, which can perform data analysis for different disciplines such as student performance analysis, energy analysis, chemical analysis, and others. In R programming, sound states are sensed and altered by sensors according to required data to allow for the analysis tools to design, implement, and test
