IT Department Conducts Webinar on Best Practices for Remote Learning

Through the Staff Development Program (SDP) Committee, the Department of Information Technology (IT) conducted a webinar on Best Practices for Remote Learning on Tuesday, 23rd March 2021. The talk was delivered by Mr. Mohammed Yassen, Director of eLearning, Majan University, Muscat.

 The speaker started the webinar by introducing the necessity of remote learning during the current pandemic. He also highlighted the essential elements and best practices needed to have a flexible, engaging, and supportive remote learning environment that enables learning and teaching beyond the physical boundaries of classrooms. At the end of the presentation, Mr. Yassen shared few synchronized online tools such as http://quizizz.com , http://kahoot.com , http://padlet.com,  etc. He also clarified the doubts of participants in the Q & A session.

The webinar was attended by staff from various educational institutions across the Sultanate of Oman. It was opened with a welcome address from the IT Head of Section, Dr. Lenin Jeevanantjan and concluded with a vote of thanks from the SDP Coordinator of IT, Mr. Pramendra Kumar.
