UTAS-A Holds a Webinar on Publication Metrics & Quality Journals
The Research Committee of the College of Economics and Business Administration (CEBA), UTAS-A, organized a webinar on "Publication Metrics & Unlocking Gateway for Quality Journals" on 12 December 2023 at noon via MS Teams for all the staff members of various departments of UTAS-A. Dr. T.K. Murugesan, Associate Professor, Department of Commerce, Kristu Jayanti College, Bengaluru, and Mr. Jaheer Mukthar, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics, Kristu Jayanti College, Bengaluru delivered the webinar. This online presentation aimed to explain the selection process of journals and enhance publication metrics, h-index, i10index, Cite score, Journal Citation Reports (JCR), etc.
Dr. Murugesan shared invaluable insights on selecting a journal and indexing articles in Scopus (Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4 Journal). He also emphasized that publishing articles in journals with high standards is essential. Mr. Jaheer, on the other hand, discussed how to submit a proposal to a publishing house, the criteria for publishing, and expectations from the publisher.
Dr. Aziza Al Qamashoui, Head of the CEBA Department, thanked the presenters. The event ended with a promising note that there will be many enlightening endeavors like this in the field of research in the future.
