A debut book launched by the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS) on Strategies for Business Transformation - Accelerators for Sustainable Growth brought laurels in the history of the University.

The College of Economics and Business Administration (CEBA), under the umbrella of UTAS-Al Musannah (UTAS-A), organized a book launch on “Strategies for Business Transformation - Accelerators for Sustainable Growth” on 17 February 2024 at 8:30 am in the UTAS- A auditorium.

The book launch event was graced by the presence of HE Dr. Saeed Hamed Al Rubaie, Vice Chancellor of UTAS, Dr. Nasser Salim Al Bimani, Assistant Vice Chancellor UTAS-A, Dr. Nihad Abdallah Mohammed Al-Zadjali, Deputy of the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs UTAS-A, Dr. Ahmed Ali Ahmed Al-Shahri, Assistant Vice- Chancellor of  UTAS-Salalah and the former Dean of UTAS-A, Dr. Malik Hamed Saif Al Zakwani, Deputy of the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Postgraduate Studies, Scientific Research and Innovation. Other esteemed dignitaries, distinguished authors, reviewers, and other distinguished guests were also in attendance.

HE Dr. Saeed Hamed Al Rubaie released the book. The event started with a welcome address delivered by Dr. Nasser Al Bimani, Assistant Vice Chancellor of UTAS-A. Dr. Nasser has beautifully taken the audience on a journey from the conception stage of the book to the culmination stage of releasing the book chapters to the esteemed audience. He is proud and highly elevated in a state to have taken part in this dream-come-true project. He added that this book comprises 15 chapters and is a comprehensive guide that explores various strategies and accelerators that can drive sustainable growth and success in a dynamic and competitive market. 

He added that the book’s themes are further classified under Accounting, Human Resources Management, Digital Marketing, Education and Industrial Sustainability, which are highly relevant to the current scenario. In addition, he shared that UTAS-A has in its credit three (3) book chapters as publications in the year 2024 and successfully designed the master programme in customs and taxation, international seminars, consultancy projects, etc. He highlighted that UTAS-A is in a position to transfer and collaborate deep knowledge and expertise from academia with industry to foster economic growth, technological advancement, and social progress. 

The welcome address was followed by sharing the department's achievements and prospects by Dr. Aziza Abdallah Humaid Alqamashoui (Head of CEBA). Then, HE Dr. Saeed Hamed Al Rubaie, signed the book, signifying its official launch.

HE Dr. Saeed Hamed Al Rubaie, Dr. Nasser, Dr. Nihad, Dr. Ahmed and Dr. Aziza felicitated the authors by presenting them with a token of appreciation for their contribution and achievement. In addition, the Research Scientific Committee members of CEBA in UTAS- A were given a memento for their hard work and support.  Fifteen authors were appreciated during the event for their chapter contributions, making the book launch possible.
