Getting to Know Digital Tools
ELCOn October 3rd, 2023, the E-learning committee of the Preparatory Studies Centre (PSC), Al-Musannah University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS-A), organized a one-hour training session for the new academic staff members of PSC. The workshop, conducted by E-learning coordinator, Mr. John Matthew, was held to brief the audience on the functionality and practicality of the digital tools utilized by PSC lecturers, besides facilitating the new academic staff members in navigating the various uses of MyELT platform, MS Teams, and Pathways Classroom Presentation Tool (CPT). This move was taken to ensure that new lecturers are kept abreast of the digital education tools used at PSC, and students’ learning experiences at the center are enriched.
In the workshop, the participants gained insights into the important steps required for student enrollments, course creations, and coursework assignments. Apart from that, the lecturers were also introduced to the latest features of CPT which have been proven to be highly effective and instrumental in assisting educators deliver engaging lessons and enhancing interactive learning experiences in the 21st century.
