IT Department Conducts an Online Workshop on Cyber Pandemic
ITThe Department of Information Technology, (IT) in partnership with the ISACA STUDENT GROUP (ISG), organized an online workshop for the Information Security students on the topic “Cyber Pandemic”. The workshop was held on 6th March 2022 through MS TEAMS Platform from 7-9 PM.
The workshop was conducted by Dr. S. A. Amala Nirmal Doss, an assistant professor in the Department of Computing, Muscat College, Oman. The speaker delivered actual examples and practical demonstrations. He shared with students some tips to be cyber safe and raised awareness on a lot of current threats, tools, and trends.
Before the end of the session, students actively raised their doubts which were clarified by the speaker.
The workshop was carried out smoothly by the ISG President, Ms. Alya Khamis AlOwaisi, who delivered the welcome address and served as the master of the ceremony. The vote of thanks was given by ISG Vice President, Ms. Rabia Abdulrahim Abdulsalam Albalushi.
The IT Department thanks the staff and students who attended and made the event a success.
