IT Staff and Students Unite for A Cause
ITIn keeping their commitment to community service, the staff and students from the Information Technology (IT) Department at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences – Al Musannah (UTAS-A), came together and visited the Social Care House in Rustaq during the global ISACA Community Day, which was celebrated on October 7th, 2023, a Saturday. The event was conducted in collaboration with the ISACA Muscat Chapter, reflecting the spirit of association and collective action. During this heartwarming occasion, the staff and students spent quality time with the elderly residents of the Care House and shared meaningful gifts with them. By dedicating just a few hours each year, ISACA members, staff, and students, along with their families and friends, collectively strive to give back to their local communities in their effort to make a lasting impact on the world.
The IT Department extends its heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Nasser Salim Al Bimani, Assistant Vice-Chancellor of UTAS-A, Dr. Nihad Abdallah Mohammed Al Zadjali, Deputy of the Assistant Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Mr. Khalifa Zayid Suwaied Al Bakri, Head of IT Department, and Mr. Mohammed Khalfan Saif Al Flaiti, and Ms. Zahra Al Siyabi, Heads of Sections, for their unwavering support and motivation, which played a pivotal role in the successful execution of this event.
