The Human Resource Development Committee (HRDC) of the IT Department, in collaboration with the Research, Consultation and Industrial Innovation Committee, organized a professional development (PD) session on 'Maintaining Academic Integrity: Strategies for Plagiarism Prevention' on February 6, 2024. Dr. Gnana Rajesh of the IT Department led the session.

The main objective of the presentation was to equip the participants with essential strategies to prevent plagiarism. This presentation was tailored to offer the participants a thorough comprehension of the research process and plagiarism. The presenter also provided the basic guidelines for identifying research problems and carrying out a research project in compliance with ethical standards.

Additionally, various techniques were discussed to avoid plagiarism, including proper paraphrasing with citations, the use of direct quotes, plagiarism detection software, and AI tools for citation and referencing. Overall, the presentation helped the participants understand effective techniques for preventing plagiarism when writing research papers.
