Presentation on Quality Reviewer in International Manuscripts Conducted
ITThe Human Resource Development Committee of the IT Department, in collaboration with the Research, Consultation, and Industrial Innovation Committee, organized an online presentation on MS Teams on 'Quality Reviewer in International Manuscripts' at 11:30 am on 6 November 2023. The presentation was given by Dr. Anooj P K of the IT Department. Mr P Sivaraman, the HRDC Member, welcomed the resource person.
The objective of the presentation was to show the importance, essential factors, and advantages of being a good reviewer. The resource person presented the essential qualities a reviewer should have such as impartiality, objectivity, timeliness, efficiency, ethical conduct, communication skills, knowledge of publication standards, open-mindedness, and critical thinking. The presenter also emphasized the importance of continuous learning, giving constructive feedback, and showing professionalism and respect. Finally, Dr. Anooj stressed the importance of collaboration and teamwork in manuscript review. The presentation ended with a question-answer session. The HRDC Coordinator thanked the presenter for his insightful presentation and the participants for making time for the event.
