Research Frontiers from a Machine Learning Perspective
ITThe Human Resource Development Committee (HRDC) of the IT Department, in collaboration with the Research, Consultation, and Industrial Innovation Committee, organized a professional development session on 'Research Frontiers from a Machine Learning Perspective' on December 05, 2023. The session was led by Dr. Divyajyothi M G of the IT Department.
The objective of the presentation was to provide information about the Machine Learning Model and its applications. Additionally, the speaker clarified the concept of Deep Learning, which is a specific area within Machine Learning. The presenter highlighted the latest research domains in Oman across different sectors, including healthcare, tourism, agriculture, and cybersecurity. Furthermore, a thorough examination of precision agriculture was conducted as a case study. Lastly, the participants had the opportunity to engage in practical exercises involving modelling using the Kaggle Dataset and Google Colab.
