SP Workshop on Developing Sub Goals and Strategies Conducted

A brainstorming session on Strategic Plan (SP) was held at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences - Al Musannah (UTAS-A) on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at the auditorium. The session was organized by the Quality Assurance Department (QAD) and was attended by representatives from each center and department. The participants were grouped goal wise to develop SP sub-goals, strategies and KPIs. This workshop is a follow-up of the National Conference held on November 21, 2021, in which the UTAS SP main elements were presented. It is worth mentioning that a similar workshop was held in each branch to complete the required tasks by the UTAS SP Executive Committee.

 

 

It was in October 2021 when the UTAS branches received the draft version of the UTAS Strategic Plan (SP) main elements: Vision, Mission, Strategic Goals, Values and Graduate Attributes. Since then, UTAS-A has been engaging the internal and external stakeholders in the planning and reviewing of the elements.  The UTAS’ SP shall guide institutional decisions for long-term goals and day-to-day operations. It shall also ensure that the institution’s Vision, Mission, strategic goals and objectives are achieved.  

 

What comes next after SP? The centers and departments will draft their respective operational plans based on the approved SP.  The UTAS SP implementation is set to start in September 2022.
